Larry and Chris share the following common professional attorney-mediator background.

(To read their individual profiles as mediators, click on their respective photos, or on links at the top or bottom of this page.)

Colorado CCMO "Guidelines-Qualified" and "Professional" Mediators

Colorado does not have formal certification of mediation practitioners. The former Colorado Council of Mediators (CCMO) and the Family Law Section of the Colorado Bar Association developed the Recommended Guidelines for Mediator Education and Training, “to assist consumers, attorneys, judges, and other professionals in selecting” Colorado mediators. (CCMO is now known as the Mediation Association of Colorado.)

Colorado mediators meeting these Guidelines are known as “Professional Mediators.”

  • a specified course of mediation training and education;

  • a tenure of experience including oversight by an experienced mentor;

  • active participation in continuing education in mediation process and in substantive areas of practice.

The Mediation Association of Colorado has independently reviewed both Larry's and Chris' qualifications in this regard, and determined that they meet all these standards of excellence for Colorado mediators' training, education and experience. Both Larry and Chris have thus been recognized by theMAC as Professional Mediators.

Other Professional Colorado Attorney-Mediators Commitments

(ADR is the use of non-courtroom approaches to resolving disputes, conflicts, and problems. Mediation and arbitration are the most common of these approaches, in divorce and family law cases.)

As discussed above, both have acquired and maintain Professional Mediator status with the Colorado mediators state organization (the Colorado Council of Mediators), and are members of the Colorado, metropolitan Denver or Boulder chapters of Colorado Interdisciplinary Committees (IDC) comprised of Colorado mediators, divorce lawyers, mental health professionals and others working with divorcing families.

Association of Family & Conciliation Courts - divorce and family professionals (mediators, attorneys, judges)
